Tainted Departure

How can I hold myself to you?
For I am no more than a thief.
A low class peasant
With no regards to honor.
Yet, I still see that look in your eyes,
And the cherry blossoms
That fell gently around you.
Scorn I am as a man,
For even though I lack integrity
I still feel a sense shame.
It’s all because of that piercing gaze of yours.
The last look you gave me
As I departed from you arms.
Where are you my love?
Tell me
How can I find my way back into your loving embrace?
And
When can I escape the tainted cries of my fading soul?
